      Hongkong Post announced today (March 5) that in view of the latest epidemic situation, it will cease the provision of LocalCourierPost Service and local parcel service with effect from March 7 (Monday) until further notice.

      Facing the current severe epidemic situation, Hongkong Post will strive to focus resources to maintain essential postal services to members of the public. Hongkong Post apologises for the inconvenience caused by the above adjustment of postal services and looks to the understanding of members of the public. For more information, members of the public may visit Hongkong Post's website on www.hongkongpost.hk or call the Hongkong Post enquiry hotline at 2921 2222.

      Hongkong Post will continue to attach priority to the health and safety of its staff as well as members of the public. Apart from enhancing the provision of protective measures to staff, Hongkong Post will continue to implement measures for social distancing and infection control at all postal facilities.

      Latest Service Arrangements under the Epidemic – Suspension of To-door Delivery Services

      A. To-Door Delivery Services

      1. The current epidemic has affected the operation of delivery to various degrees. The transit time of all shipments will not be guaranteed, we sincerely thank customers for their great understanding.


      2. Starting from 5 March 2022, to-door services will be suspended until further notice. Understand customers will have the needs on delivery services, we encourage our customers using self-pick up and drop off services at more than 1,000 SF network points including SF Business Stations, SF Stores, SF Service Partners (There will be more Convenience Stores joining the SF network, providing more location options for customers in using our services) and SF Lockers to avoid waiting, also the timeliness of using this service is more controllable and convenient. During this difficult period, the company is facing rapid rise of operation costs, but the company continues to adhere customer-oriented principle, no additional surcharges will be charged on top of the self-drop off and pick up services and keeping the service fees unchanged, overcoming difficult times with customers.

      3. Customers can learn more about the real-time status of their shipments from "Tracking" function on SFHK's official website and SFHK APP.

      Hong Kong Post

      With effect from Thursday (March 3), all post offices will open at 9.30am from Monday to Saturday with the closing hours remain unchanged at 4pm (Monday to Friday) and 1pm (Saturday), except Causeway Bay Post Office and Peak Post Office which will remain unchanged. The service of mobile post offices (No. 1 and No. 2) will be temporarily suspended.

      In addition, 25 designated post offices will only provide services on Wednesday and Saturday, with details listed in the Annex. Members of the public can access postal services at other nearby post offices in the districts. For the locations of the post offices, please refer to the following link: hongkongpost.hk/en/about_us/network/post_offices/index.html#list.

      Arising from cases of preliminary positive/positive for COVID-19 in the postal operations team and the subsequent disinfection of the premises and mails concerned, some postal services (including iPostal Stations, iPostal Kiosks and mail collection from posting boxes) will be affected despite our best efforts to minimise its impact. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
